'66 Beaumont Convertible spotted at local show

I've never seen this one before. Brian pointed it out to me at a show here in Ingersoll today. Unfortunately I couldn't find the owner and the hood was shut so no luck on a cowl tag. cry It's the first time I've seen that 230 emblem.

How many 6 cylinder Beaumont convertibles were built in '66?

Cool if that badge is stock. I say "if" only because it looks like the car may have a couple of items that are aftermarket? For example that rear bumper without the reverse lights may be off a Chevelle, unless reverse lights were an option? Also if those are buckets I see, the stiching seams (pun intended) to be horizontal vs vertical?
Great seeing these still coming out of hiding. Thanks for posting the pics!

Sorry Carl! Every year the local Home Hardware holds a charity car show. It was pretty big this year. I'd say 2-300 cars.. The 50/50 was $750

Probably the reason I didn't mention it is I knew I'd be taking my car to Waterloo. It was about 1pm when it dawned on me that the show was on so Kevin and I went down for a peek.

Yes,  Those 230 emblems are correct for 1964-1966 beaumonts with the "optional" 230 engine.  194 was base.

Same emblem in the same spot on chevelles in those years too.

For those who wonder what is going on, this thread was one of the topics of discussion at tonight's coffee time.

A bunch of hot rodders and we were discussing 6 cylinder emblems. Must be getting oldevileye
