67 beaumont convertible top switch

Does anyone have a picture of a proper 67 convertible top switch

Mainly interested in the back side and wire area above the dash.

Also what the correct bezel looks like up close.

Mine has for sure been swapped out for some homemade one

Thanks

For what it's worth, a year ago I replaced the original switch in my '66 which is the same as that from a GTO (reproductions available). I'd therefore assume that you are looking for a switch the same as a '67 GTO? I'll check my reference material and let you know what I find...

The repro magazines show the 66 GTO switch and bezel being the same as the 67 GTO. As mentioned, I can testify that the 66 Beau is the same as the 66 GTO. Both the bezel and switch are indeed reproduced. (Captain Beaumont has a 67 rag and might be able to chime in. I'll PM him for you.)

PS  Interesting to note that it mounts in a completely different location that the Chevelles...

If any help, here's a page w/ repop 66/67 A-Body Cutlass ragtop switches..
http://www.who-sells-it.com/cy/fusick-2858/cutlass-442-catalog-41c-14015/page-64.html

Always best keep your eyes peeled for wagon rear tailgate switches too as some longroofs used the same or similar switches when gates equipped w/ power glass..

This link shows both the bezel (HP1029) and the harness (PT667) for the '66-'67  GTO, which is the very same as the '66 Beaumont (and I suspect the '67 Beaumont.)

Great!

Thanks to all.

I mainly wanted to know what the switch itself looks like.

As per the parts book, the 66 Beau is indeed the same as the '67 Beau.  Here's my '66.  (With the optional and rare hidden speedo needle.)

Now my next question:

Does anyone have a template or something so i get the hole drilled in the right spot.

I dont know what happened to may dash insert, but it was changed at some point

Weird, because it was not in an accident.

Haaaa!  I think it's time to introduce the kids to Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving home in the dark and noticed that all of my dash lights have finally burnt out.  Not a big deal I thought as aside from a clock and a speedo, neither of which work, there's not much left to see...

I wonder if it was changed as a result of a stock radio being put back in?  Reason I ask is that I plan on doing that this winter.

If no one can assist, I can take close up pictures of mine this weekend along with a tape measure?...

Dave, I know the assembly manual has some dimensions in it and I think dash switches are there. If no one can give you the right spot, I can likely check tomorrow night.

The "boss" says I am still getting a haircut tonight, so I won't have time!

The second hole is for a locating pin on the top of the bezel.     you will see it.

Ahhhhh.  The little nub above the "UP" position is what your are refering to as the locating pin?...

Yes,  thats the locating pin

Carl,   I will have to see if these pics are enough.   What do you have for measurements?  Off an original dash? or parts book diagram?

I measured from the seam just before the bezel starts to curve down = 3" to the

  edge of the switch

I think the assembly manual has them shown.
