I wanted to give him a deposit, i said i was very interested and would gladly send one. I think part of the problem is i can't get up there to get the car for a month. And he really seems to want someone to have a look at it before buying.

Don't wait too long... somebody could buy it and hire a hauler to take it home for them.
I was holding back to see if another CP member was getting it, but it likely wouldn't have worked out for me either as I'm way out of province... though I considered taking a chance and buying it site unseen, as it looked pretty good in the pics. Even with shipping it would have been a reasonable deal for me, if it was as good as described.
Wasn't me, i was willing to give him a deposit but he probably just wanted the money and the car gone. With other commitments i just couldn't get there until after Thanksgiving. Congrats to whoever got it, i'm jealous, was perfect for me. Oh well, i'll wait for another one to come up.
I have been told not to say but.. I did go to a member (not me). Can you say original paint? I'm sure the new owner will chime in soon. It better be soon because I'm having a hard time keeping it to myself!
This is purely a guess but I will call it an educated guess. I would think that the new owner is Brian Parke, 68 327 4spd.
If you check his updated signature you will see among his stable there is a 68 Custom 4-door. All that I can say is nice score! I would be proud to drive that around no matter how many doors. It is pretty and a great example of the marque, plus the price was very reasonable. I must admit it had me looking around to see where I could keep it.
Excellent buy, Brian! Come on now, admit it! Anyway, I am sure that it has found a good home. Whew!
