68 Custom 4 door

Ok i have to confess,As some of you know when i posted my Acadian for sale it was not for money, but i wanted a four door Beaumont
to go with my 2 door 68. Yes i did buy the four door from peterbough.I had to think long and hard about this as a didnt want to step on
anybody's toes about this, and some may say that i bought it out from under another member. But that is not why i did it. I've wanted one
for along time as some people on here know, and being the same year as my other one was a real bonus. I'm sorry if i offended anybody.I
can promise you that this car will be very loved and be on many road trips which i will share. The 3 hour ride home on the 401 went amazing,
it used about $25 worth of fuel and rode like a dream.getting looks by all.I came with lots of books and even the protecter plate. Turns out
they lived down the street from the dealer on the same street.Every thing in this car works, even the little buzzer that goes off with keys in it.
The inside of this car is also amazing, all dash lights work and interier is clean with no rips or wear marks. i think its 12 miles not 112 that the
the guy said. All the tell tale signs are there, brake pedal, driver seat no wear. dash and steering wheel mint. Paint still shines. I'll let the pics
speak for them selves.

Wow, it's a gem! clap.gif

I remember my grade 11 Geography teacher had a 68 Beaumont Custom 4-door hardtop as his daily driver back in the late 1970s (when he wasn't riding his immaculate Honda 750 four).  His was Matador Red with black cloth interior, 307 'glide. A friend and I had gone off-road riding with him back in 1979; he was nice enough to hook up his trailer to his Beaumont and give us and our dirt bikes a ride home to Ancaster from Burlington afterwards. It was a nice car.

Those are great shots!  Where it's such a nice untouched original car, I thought it would be cool to get some nice engine room, undercarriage, gauges, emblems, etc. etc.

Might be because I'm a little obsessed with those '68 4-doors as mentioned in my above posts... also, since it appears that I will never actually own one again, I'm planning some day to build a model of one (which would have to be converted from the '69 Chevelle 2-door kit and using the '68 El Camino kit for proper wheelbase and '68 front clip... yep, big job) in order to at least have one on my shelf, so any original reference pics would be appreciated and useful.

However, I realize that it's a bit of a pain to take and post all those pics, so I hesitate to ask... but if you are bored some day... smile  biggrin

Thanks!  Don't go to a whole lot of trouble, though, and I can be very patient so anytime in the next couple of years is OK, really.  I'm not going anywhere (that I know of....).

It's such a nice car that I can't help but want to see more of it.

One of these days I'll dig out the old pics of my first car and scan them.  It's interesting that back in 1980 my car looked much worse than yours does in 2011!

Congrats again, I wish you many good cruising miles with your family in it!

 X2

Please don't be insulted by this (just my opinion), but the 18 inchers should be left in the basement in the case of this car.

I like the stock hubcaps. The rallys just don't suit it, maybe it's the tire size. I don't mind 18" wheels and I realize this is what you have at home but would not be the wheel I would use.
