Does anyone have a picture of where it was mounted? Right/Left? Angled? etc. Question 2. Does anyone have a picture of a 1969 Nova Scotia inspection sticker? Thanks
Tim: There is nothing on the NS Gov website about MVI Stickers until the early 70's. Found this plate in the archives. Other than 63 all plates had the number and then the year of the car was either on the left or right of the plate.
On a side note. Were you by any chance in the Navy in the 70's ?
Thanks. I have 69 plates on the car. I thought there was a safety inspection sticker for 69. I have a company that will repro them if I can find a pic or sample. I got a McDonald emblem direct from Bob himself and also managed to score a Canadian Owners Manual. I wasn't in the Navy. That was my cousin Tim Chetwynd also from Lockeport. The same name caused lots of confusion over the years and compounded by the fact that we both have younger brothers named Jeff.
The safety inspection stickers were like the provincial flag emblem with the coat of arms. white background with the blue stripes like a X. They had the 12 months around the edge and were punched for what ever month the inspection was due. They were placed in the lower left corner of the windshield.
Here is a 1973 Registry of Motor Vehicles Inspection Sticker Province of Nova Scotia that is on my 64 Pontiac. They were displayed on the driver's side of the windshield mounted low near the dash. Hope this helps.
