this is a Disc brake car ,still has the 4 piston calipers and 2 piece rotors

we popped off a set of 14 inch steelies (cleared the caliper ), a set of P01 caps are in the trunk?

brake pedel says Disc brake, theres no sign of any rallies or centers

this photo didnt turn out well

found a bill of sale for the original owners car that was owned previous to the SD

this car was traded in on the SD (he knew how to order cars eh?)

At a glance though, to me that rim looks like a newer style than 68.

3960345 1968/ALL W/DISC BRAKES - EXCEPT RALLY WHEEL - 14X6 JJ

It was offered but I am not sure that would be how the rim would look. I guess a date code off it would tell.

Wow, quite the detailing on the engine! Serious overspray by the reconditioner at the used car lot!

Is that copper fuel line??? Bad, bad, bad. Accident waiting to happen.

I think that's what rim 3960345 is for from what I see.

3928294 is also for disc except rallys but it says also exc 396 engine. Not sure why.

Anyway, bedtime in Manitoba!

 Carl is right, that rim shown is a newer style. Unless the rally wheel option was ordered you would get the steel wheel with the hubcap.

This car would have had a 6 inch rim - 3960345.

JJ is the stamp inside the wheel. There will be another stamp beside the valve stem but I can tell it is not a 68 wheel.

Yes, most of the rims in the parts book have JJ listed with them. I'm not sure why they do that. They often don't list the code by the valve stem in the parts book.

 off track for a second here-could you not order a rally wheel without getting the disc brake option ?

I agree it would be unusual to get discs without rallys but possible-just checking vise versa

 Disc brakes and rally wheels were separate RPO numbers and were always available as separate options.

 Why do you think it is unusual?
