It was probably me. It was originally red. I am not aware of this car ever surfacing.

This post was the first time the topic came up:

http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t20149378/sd-registry

It's not quite halfway down the page.

Terry, I know the picture you're talking about, but I can't remember how long ago it was. confuse

I remember that the car supposedly ended up in Alberta.

Could there be 2 Sd post's?

1st car has Ont plates, bumper guards and painted moldings on the door/window frames.

2nd car, Manitoba plates, no bumper guards and B90 option for the door /window frames.

ak67sd and 68sd396rag both confirm the 2nd car as being in Manitoba for a long time, so it's possible there's 2 SD posts out there.

( or where...) Also interesting is that 68sd396rag says that he documented the car as a 350 horse car, but the paperwork above shows a 325 horse with a 3 speed. Are there 3 posts out there? ( Not likely)

The Ontario car that Clint has the picture of is a Deluxe but nothing to say it is a SD. It does have a 68 front bumper so needless to say the car had been changed prior to the picture being taken in the 90's.

The Alberta car (the one with the documentation shown with it) is the same one that 68sd396rag (John) has seen. It is the same car and the one that this thread was asking about. The options shown are correct for that car. John told me he never got documentation for the car.

I know the picture that Fred posted is one that I had because of the cropping on the documentation that deletes the number made with the L35 engine. The picture was sent to me quite a few years ago.

Here is the documentation as it was sent to me.

69 SD post documentation.jpg

Notice it shows one of 84 made with the L35. I have documentation for 2 L35 cars (this one and one other one) and both show one of 48.

Keep in mind that when I get documentation from other people it is in confidence and I can't share any information as per request. I hope you all understand.
I can tell you that I have VVS paperwork for several 69 SD's. This is the only post car with supporting paperwork that I am aware of. Too bad I can't find the car.

I am still trying to find more if anyone wants to let me know of any.

Thanks Brad, Yeah I totally missed the 68 bumper.

BTW, the VVS paperwork says L35, not L34 wink

Now does this mean there were 48 SD post cars? Or just 48 SDs with the 325hp

48 SD's with L35 - 325 HP 396. This includes 73437 (hardtop) and 73427 (sedan or post car). No convertibles were made.

This number includes all cars built with no further breakdown to transmissions, colours, etc.

That is one of several ways that the Z24 option is shown on a Beaumont.
