Dont have time or experience to finish restoration of my 1966 Beaumont Custom 4-door Hardtop.
Car has just over 40,000 original miles and was purchased from the original owner (complete with original paperwork). This is a very rare car and has not been altered. Has original 230 cu in 6 cyl and 2-speed auto transmission. Front and rear quarters have been restored and still have to do one rocker panel (have parts). Car comes with spare parts, such as windows (side and rear), taillights, etc.
Looking for a good home with a classic car enthusiast.
I like it. Too bad people have to start taking them apart before they decide to sell them. A car like this would be worth more left completely intact in my opinion.
Agreed. The next owner will now have to expend the effort to "undo" whatever damage has been done before proceeding to fix what originally needed fixing. Then there's the possibility of lost or damaged parts due to improper disassembly or storage.
Amazing how many projects out there get started and given up on and put up for sale right after it's all apart... at that point it's at its lowest value and in some cases will just end up getting parted out because it can't be sold as a disassembled project.
Doing a car completely is a HUGE project. I have to stop myself all the time from looking at tempting projects because I know that I just don't have the time or place to do them right.
I have the utmost respect for anyone who can see one of these projects through from start to finish. If you have to call in a bodyman... do whatever it takes. Giving up is not an option unless you want to take a bath on it.
I think for me, realistically, I will have to end up with a car that either needs nothing, or at least one that is good enough that I can do a little at a time while still keeping it on the road...
