Who uses 65-67 Beaumont/Chevelle Big Block headers

I want to get a set of better fitting headers for my wagon, just wondering what brand you guys have and how they fit. Mine are Hedman, and they hit the ground too often, the car isnt that low. Ive heard Dougs fit well. Anyone know if the Hedman Elites are any different than the regular Hedmans or are they just coated? Thanks.

I'm not sure if Headman Elites are diffrent from regular Headmans but from what ive heard the Elites are about the best fitting header for these years of Chvelle/Beaumont.

All headers for these cars seem to hang low...But if their hitting the ground maybe it's front springs you need? I had the same problem a few years ago and it was spring fatigue not the headers. [Your sure there big block springs?]

O and DONT buy flowtech headers...lol. I found that out the hard way. Had to cut one inch out of a tube, rebend it and weld it.

If you decide to try springs first pm me. I have some hardly used ones.

Ive changed springs last year already from BB chevelle wagon to buick sportwagon w/air ,and it finally came up a bit. But they still rub once in a while on these crappy roads(winnipeg)My yubes are squashed, I really want to find some shortey headers, but havnt found any for the application.Maybe Ill phone hedman and see the height measurements.Ive heard the hookers are the lowest hanging, but thanks.

I have hedmans on my 65 but I have AFR raised exhaust port heads. My headers are tucked up very tight underneath. I actually had to modify the tranny crossmember for more clearance for the pipes.

I will have to check but I don't think they were the Elites. 2" tubes with 3" collector uncoated
