might just paint it white to see what it looks like, can always paint it again..
Not white Dan. Can you imagine how grimey a white-painted wheel will get.

will try the tape first, but once it is cleared the white should not get grimey besides i don't touch my wheel with dirty hands.. thought about black and red, taped it then decided it did not look good.

i figured great i'll run out to the shop grab the wheel, a roll of tape and take a pic. it didn't happen that way. only shoes i had at the back door were my crocs. its been raining and i haven't cut the grass in a while. needless to say my socks are soaked my butt is wet and i couldn't find the roll of white tape, yellow is close. and i dropped the battery out of the camera and need to set the date now.
I do believe that there are other factors that come into play. Is there white anywhere else in the interior that the white section would compliment? Are there 2 reds in the interior that could be matched? If the rest of the interior is all the same red then 2 toning may not fit into the "whole" picture.
Some Pontiacs had the interior colour with clear sections ( opaque ) sections that appeared to work quite well. But guess clear isn't an option.
I will try the white tape tomorrow, the only thing white is my top. I'm re-painting the wheel because the first red i tried was to light and now i have a perfect match so i will leave part of it with the light red (top and bottom) and see what that looks like. thanks everyone for the input.. Now the power steering conversion is done i'm looking for the next thing to play with.

i do like the wheel. have you though of the dash at all to break up all the red. last year i did the dash in my 55 to break up the blue and it worked i think
like that one as well(original and lighter red) one like that started me thinking about two/tone do not want to change to drastic, by re-painting dash, if i do the wheel and do not like it's easy to change back..
