a long summer away

Well after the summer of hell and work, work, work it's finally time to slow down and finally get some work done on the old 54.i had hoped to have it up and running by now but seeing i was home for all of two or three weeks for the last 5 months not much got done i'm afraid. So the list of things to do

-order a starter rebuild kit and rebuild the starter

-check out the carb as i noticed it leaked a bit when i poured fuel in it.It has a tag that reads 2010s B3 and is a carter,so need to find a kit for it.

-drill out the broken seat bolts, all 4 are broken off.

-order and install carpet kit

-i may get really brave and replace the rockers and rear fenders as they do have bondo in them.the drivers side being the worst.I've crawled underneath and have noticed the bottom 1/2 inch of the inners is rotted as well.I have a set of fender skirts that came with the car so i would have to do the repairs to run them.Anybody got a pic of the rear fender slots are to run the skirts.

-get her up and running and over to the muffler shop to finish up the exhaust.

-finally i have a visor from an earlier 51 model that i may install but need to find the mounts and figure out how and where they screw on.

Anyways good to be back and looking forward to some progress on the car.For those of you looking for parts i ran across this place the other day.He has lots of old pontiacs and is a few hours from me.kustomking.net.Not sure if he parts out but worth a look.
