$25 K sounds about right. At $10k for a "restorable" project, it is going to be a tough proposition to get it done for $15K.
Several years ago I was going to do a 65 SS hardtop project. I know where I could buy a '65 409 with the right casting #'s for a $1K and a decent body & rolling shell for $6K that was a 4 speed. Figuring out the hours and cash outlay, not including the 1000 to 1500 hours necessary of my own time and frustration, I decided it wasn't for me.
If my financial situation gets better it's still a car that I want. But I'll buy a done car @ .25 cents on the dollar.
