1958 Pontiac Parisienne 2 door HT Sport Coupe

Hi everyone, please bear with me as I am new to this forum and slow on the PC. I realize that the Canadian Pontiac was mounted on the 1958 Chev chassis. My question is would a 4 dr  chevy chassis fit under my 58 pontiac or do I have to have a 58 Chev impala chassis?

Would also appreciate any contacts with people that may have parts for sale for the 58 Pontiac.

Phone # is 403-327-9336 ==Gabriel

Checked the Chev and Pontiac parts books but they are less than clear.

Do believe that the only model that had a frame different than the other models was the convertible.
Others with more knowledge should chime in.

Did the wagons have a different frame from thne sedans and coupes? The convertibles had their own as has been suggested, I believe.

Attached is a official letter from GM  pointing out that a Beaumont has the identical  mechanical specs as a Chevelle....

Same deal with Impala/Parisienne

Show me docs from GM saying otherwise

(I really don't care- but I do have the docs.)

Reminds me of the closing argument in Miracle on 49th Street.

No one can doubt the credibility of that many Governments and the Manuafcturer.  I certainly hope this lays to rest this annoying question once and for all.

No I do not need a frame---just wanted to check that the chevy frames are correct.  Was thinking of finding one, clean it up--re-do the bushings, brakes etc, paint it, install new power train and drive line. Then make a swap unto my 58 pontiac. Much simpler that I think? Thanks

Hi Nailhead, I see you put a listing of your cars and I changed my avatar to my 23 roadster. As you can see by the name on the valve cover it says T-Italia. It is a Model -T and I am Italian--------hence " T- Italia".

Now how do I get to see your rides young man? regards

........your welcome T-Italia.   I picked the nic Nailhead 'cause of the motor in my avatar which is planted in my 38 Ford coupe.  They were called nailheads by the rodders of the day. Search for my story on it in members rides.  You have a rare pontiac there , more rare than my 58 Impala.   Now why would you need a frame for yours ? , was it a eastern car that rusted away ?   Hope you can get some pics and a story posted about your 58 for us to read about.

The BUICK V-8 from 1953 to about 1965 was called NAILHEAD by car nuts because of its very tiny intake and exhaust valves. So small by the standards of the day that the BUICK valves looked like nail heads compared to other engines. This of course was great for street torque. Cheers. George.

The thread starter here asked about a 58 Pontiac frame, what does Beaumont stuff have to do here ? I don't follow ?

The responce letter from GM regarding the Beaumont refered to the mechanicals  being the same Chevelle   a example of GM using same frames etc and a reference to Pontiacs (B-bodies) being the same as Pontiac

sorry it interferred with your  day    read all the words on the posts
