I was sure I had a photo or two from Autofest but can't find them right now.  I have spoken to the owner before, it's a 350 4bbl.  Fred you might have a photo of it from Autofest.

Yup, he does a lot of odd jobs for me in exchange for food. The best part is my wife makes dinner and I do nothing.

GM Canada did a lot of vehiles like this, pickups, vans, Chevelles. I suppose if we were able to get the VIN and documnets it would tell us how many were optioned like this.  Can't be that many left though.

Excellent Pete.

In my year they built 3,761 Sport Coupes so if '76 was comparable that means that over 20% were Olympic Editions. I had it in my mind they were very popular.

I remember seeing quite a few Olympic Edition cars back in 76. I remember them on the lot in Haliburton, Hamilton, Toronto, London... Sighting started becoming rare around 1981 for me.

The RPO of the Olympic Edition package was ZE2. There were 1,017 RPO ZE2 Chevelle coupes built. I had seen numerous Malibu  Classics  but I have only ever seen 1 base Malibu, new on the Don Valley in 1976 (I think it was a Robertson Motors car).

ZE2 was offered on Chevelle Malibu & Malibu Classic coupes, Lemans Sport, Chevy / GMC passenger vans, plus Chevy / GMC ½ ton Fleetsides.

I remember seeing one in London back in the day. Owned by the owner of an auction house. They drove it into the ground.

I have a burning question that I need to ask old car buffs! Out of all the american big three(ok AMC too) cars/trucks/vans/station wagons built lets say between 1963 and 1981 how many are still remaining? I dont just mean restored driving examples, all states of condition! Any thoughts percentage wise? I am hoping there are about 30-40% remaining!
