I think we've seen this here before at a higher price. I do like this car, I wonder if he'd take an RV in trade! Whats up with the shifter? Is it an auto dressed to look like a manual?

Professionally done Frame Off Restoration was done in 2005 at 64,000 miles . Entire vehicle taken apart bolt for bolt . Everything was inspected, and if there was a doubt on parts, they were replaced with new, reconditioned , or refreshed.
Entire body was Soda Blasted to bare metal , prepped , and painted it's original Ermine White Code 936. Underbody is still Red Oxide , as was from factory.
Vehicle still has it's Original body panels, Original Code QG Engine , Powerglide Transmission, and 3:36 Differential. Also has the 5 - 14X6 JJ rims with Dayton H70 narrow whitewall bias ply tires.
Engine and transmission were professionally , completely rebuilt to factory specifications.
This vehicle is in Excellent Car Show Condition. Body is straight and well gapped. Nicely detailed under hood as was new. Car drives and handles real good with power to spare.
The only thing not " as original " is the interior. Sometime in it's well cared for life ( I believe it to be Tacoma WA. ) , it received a Professional Tuck and Roll, Blue & White, Metalflake , with piping , interior. All the original seats etc. are still in the vehicle, it was only the coverings that were done. It is still in excellent condition. In 2005 , when I did the restoration, appraised value of having this good of a job done was $10,000. I priced all the parts to put back the interior as was from factory, Code 837 Blue, and it was $2800. All the parts are still available.
I was not totally embraced with this interior when I bought the vehicle , but after receiving so many good comments and awards for best interior I decided to leave it in. It suits this car's era.
Chip Foose liked it , and signed the sun visor. Dennis Guage and George Barris also liked it.
Hard to find as original and low mileage vehicle as this one. There are lots out there, but most have been cloned , bits and pieces from other vehicles etc.
Always stored inside, nothing to do , ready for show.

Done to personal taste ... that and the price is why this car isn't selling. I think he should have stopped after re-doing the seats, some of the dash, and the front door panels. That headliner is just plain ugly.
Like Carl said, if the seller would knock some $$$ off the price ... buy it, and tear some some of that interior out, then replace.

I agree that interior is inappropriate for that car and does affect the value. It proabably cost the guy double or triple what a repro correct interior from PUI or Ciadella would cost. However, if you had a period correct early 60's mild custom like a 59 or 60 Impala or Camino it would be a knockout!
