According to General Motors Vintage Vehicles there were "1226" 1958 Pontiac Parisienne Sport Coupes produced with V8's! This figure was a combination of both the 283's and 348's! Would imagine there was more than 250 of the 283's!!! Since there was only 525 built with the 261, most likely the 283 was more popular, especially with the Parisienne models! Bob.

When I took the pics at the Orangeville Fair I didn't take a real detailed look but do remember thinking that the price seemed quite reasonable. If I had the money this would definitely be worth a detailed look.
That car is from Winnipeg about 20 years ago. It belonged to Grant Rowe who used to own Custom Crankshaft. Norm Milne bought it from him for around 5 grand. It was sold sometime after that. If it is for sure the same car its a little soft underneath but not too bad overall.

Has the frame been patched or the floors? I do love those cars!
I'm glad they are not as popular as 58 Impala's as it helps with affordability.
