65 Beaumont convertible original survivor convertible 43,000 miles

There has been a 65 Beaumont SD convertible just listed on ebay.  I had heard about this car from a guy in Langley and it has now surfaced.  Hopefully someone can post it on here.  What's your guess what it will pull? Looks pretty solid.

Awesome car Jerel! I'll be watching this baby!

I See it has a remote drivers mirror as well.  Not very common.

Question & AnswerAnswered On
Q: Are you willing to disclose reserve? I am high bidder.Dec-07-11
A: Hi Verntimeless, to be honest, I wish I could afford to buy her so the original owner's family could still see it around and ride in it once restored! What we will say for now is that even in this economy, rare vehicles such as this have commanded a pretty penny to say the least. This car is the real deal and a real gem to collectors, a real "diamond in the rough" so to speak, but thanks for asking!
Q: Great lookin car ,do you have a buy it now price since its for sale localDec-07-11
A:

Hi 72Prix, thanks your interest and for the kind comment, she sure is a beautiful car and in unbelievable condition for her age. An easy restoration for sure. As there is interest in this vehicle here locally and we have a pretty good reputation with eBay, I'd like to keep things as they are for now and see how things go :) We may decide to place a "Buy it Now" offer on this listing at a later date but for now we'll see how things progress.

I'm sure if you send them $25.000 they will pull it off eBay. Please do so I don't land up with a car I do't need.

Top price for this car needing paint, bodywork, some chrome refinishing, and interior work would be??? My guess would be 10-12 thousand.

I was thinking the same value as you.  That would be very fair in my books.

I had 15K max in my head. As cool as it it, it doesn't add up when you think of restoring it. Of course, what car does!

honestly?  if you got it restored for 40k and your into it for 65k total.. your already behind by about 10k or more.  Being a rag top makes it worth more for sure, but..

I'm into my hard top for over 60k and it appraised at 55k and realisticlly.. I'd be lucky to get 40k for it..

I knew that going in though.   I would LOVE to have this convertible.. it's a clone to the one I have in alberta.. LOL.. only this one is assembled.

Did anyone wonder why there is no pictures of the rust prone areas such as the frame rails below the front door post?

Or the trunk floor around the body mount?

Also,  it that the thick textured dealer undercoat that is sprayed all over teh entire underside?  it is hard to tell,  but the wheel wells look like they are 5" thick with undercoat.

I'm sure it is a good car,  and a real find and story to go along.

but i would want to see it in person as always.  especially when hte seller is obviously not a car person, and knows nothing about the car,  execpt the history part.

Looks pretty solid and I do have the exact twin of this one stored away. I hate to say anything about the price because I also will have at least one SD rag for sale in the future. I wonder if that ones as solid as the Grandpa one owner SD HT I bought this year? These one owner cars are next to impossible to find so if somebody is looking for one I would Buck up!! You will kick yourself later. Or you can Buy one of Kelly's or my project SD rags for Half.

Oh Geoff, you would honestly be saying after the 66 models.  I've got a hunch this guy will have a reserve around 18 or bordering 20 if he has it listed at 25 on the other site.  Never know, there seems to be a magic that accompanies these originals that isn't the same as a nicely done restoration.  I have thought back a few times on the price that was gotten on that 64 2 door hardtop that was stolen.  Over 18 grand and that means there were 2 guys that were that keen on it.  One guy doesn't bid himself up.  Will be interesting to see.  I think it will take at least 20 to do it.
