Definately one of the nicest Beaumont models. '65...SD...Rag...

Oh Geoff, you would honestly be saying after the 66 models.  I've got a hunch this guy will have a reserve around 18 or bordering 20 if he has it listed at 25 on the other site.  Never know, there seems to be a magic that accompanies these originals that isn't the same as a nicely done restoration.  I have thought back a few times on the price that was gotten on that 64 2 door hardtop that was stolen.  Over 18 grand and that means there were 2 guys that were that keen on it.  One guy doesn't bid himself up.  Will be interesting to see.  I think it will take at least 20 to do it.

I don't know what you mean when you talk about the magic around a original clean 65 Beaumont SD?biggrinbiggrin No really!smile

It's funny, years ago I used to think the pre-66 was too small. Now I think they nailed it perfectly.

I droped out at 8500. I think your bid was fair they are dreamers and think its worth way more than it is. I could of picked up a 65 ss rag for $8000 last year and passed it up. It needed more work that this one but it was all the and he had the the rear quarters for it. Plus it had a 327 # matching.

I think somebody should PM Kelly to get over there with a floor jack and a camera. Hint Hint! See it's true condition and make a fair strong offer on your behalf. All I know is your not competing with me. No more Beaumonts, I'm all topped up!biggrin

PS

Or you could come for a visit and buy one of mine?

For the owner to think it is worth more is one thing but I think the CP jury knows the real value of these cars. This car has had more exposure than it would have 4 years ago thanks to CP and still it wouldn't sell. Hmmm.....

totally agree. I wrote the guy to go see it, as it's not all that far away from me here. I doubt I'll get a reply, but.. I'd love to know for my own interest, and I'll take my camera for sure.. no.. I cant buy it...but I'd help someone who wants to.. KEVIN?

Kelly, I have tried to stay away from this thread. I rented storage last spring and now its full. No more room at the Inn. I have been after one here thats been stored in the guys barn for 20 years plus and he still won`t part with it. Time to start on the rust buckets. Thanx for the offer to go look but it only has 2 peddles and I need a car with 3 wink

I haven't read all the responses so maybe it was asked. Do you think this 65 is worth 25k ? I can't see how. I know there aren't many around but to restore this will still take a lot of cash.

These old cars just are not bringing in the money they once did, and with all the baby boomers (like me) getting older there will be a lot fewer people that would be willing to pay big dollars for such a ride.

Anyway, just my thoughts

Twenty-five G's!!!.........in todays market, GOOD LUCK. Still a $30,000 (+) expense after purchase to restore (and that includes the buyer doing alot of work himself). I hate to say this but no way. I've bought a couple of cars in my day, thats a $15,000 car in my opinion (for what my opinion's worth = 3.7 cents...a litre) But you know the old saying "You can always go down on price but you can't go up" I suppose you have to test the waters and start somewhere.
