Reverb system.

Hi guys I remove a reverb system form my 64 Lemans, and need to move it. It worked when removed. Not sure if is Pontiac model or other as it says motorola on the top. Has front and rear spekers, recomended replacement, but there for size, front switch and wiring from switch to reverb.

$150  OBO

If you have a couple more pictures I may be able to help you figure out if it's original or not.

Nothin real clear, that was the best one. I can get some more with the daughters camera, it's a little better than mine. It does have a part number on the housing as well. If u blow up the picture, u can see the part number. R200 and 167113 are the number on the housing.

Will get one tomorrow night. I'm sure the switch is wrong, but looks similar to that on the picture on the case.

more picture of system. This did work in my 64 Lemans, although the switch does not look correct for that year car. The switch is a rotary dial and it has a pull position as well.

I haven't seen a factory installed Motorola reverb in a GM but as always, I won't say "never". Certainly lots of people added them in the 60's from what I recall as a kid in the 70's.

I did a little more searching:

Fords & Mopars got factory Motorola Vibrasonic R200 reverbs. Fords also got FoMoCo ones.

Delco units were only available from the factory in Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs ... not Chevrolets ... but some made their way into Chevrolets at the dealership or by owners.

Some Motorola Vibrasonic R200 units did make their way into GM cars outside of the GM factory/dealership by owners.

Here's what a Pontiac 64 - 66 reverb "knob" looks like:

I kinda knew the switch was not original, as I had seen other Pontiac switches like yours. Although it Did work, turning the dial adjusted the reverb time and pulling the knob turned it off and on.
