Regardless whether this 442 runs 13'2, 17's or 20's in the 1/4 it is still a very sharp looking car.

Agree with that. So was the 80s Grand Prix - especially the last version.

Back from serving Christmas dinner to the shut-in ederly folks at our nearby community centre. The old timers thought I was a special Hollywood guest...John Goodman. Anyway, I don't have enough hair on my chest or large enough gold chains to wear around my neck to own that boy racer slap happy sticks Olds.

Hey 73SC how do I get that Car and Driver website? Clicking and paste doesn't work.

I'm thinking it should get 9-10k but maybe not until spring??

My guess is it will be a stretch to reach 14-15K. Realistically, someone could come along with 12ish. With that said, there may be somebody out there who had one new, wants another one, money is no object and will pay high teens. You never know...

As always beauty is in the eye of the beholder

  - and if that beholder has the coin and the desire to own the nicest '83 Lightening Rod 442 out there, they may cough up most of the asking price to get it.

Now, the hair transplant on the chest will cost a little more.......... smile

If you think $21,500 is expensive for an '80s 442, check this out!

When these were new there lots of GN's and Monte SS's so the 442 stood out when you saw one. Still do!

I'll take a blue one, in fact make mine a 403 powered '87!

Ok,

The car in the ad at the top is a Hurst/Olds not a 442. LoL! In this era most 442 were the leftover cars when they ran out of lightning rods and just put regular gear selectors in them and then put 442 decals on I'm place of the Hurst/Olds ones,,,
