Hi guys, I found a rusted upper ram air III pan that has the actuators that I need. I contacted the seller, but he is not sure if he wants to remove the actuators and ship them to me in Winnipeg, Manitoba. If anyone is close, would they consider picking the pan up and removing the actuators and shipping them to me at my expense? He only wants $50.00 for the unit, so it seems priced right just for the actuators($99.00 each for aftermarket). I am not sure how to link things, but the Kijiji Mississauga/Peel Region Ad number is 335730414. If anyone can help, or has a set of actuators for sale, please let me know. Thank you for any help or advice.
I am going to be heading that way next week,maybe Wed. or Thurs,if i do i can pick it up and mail you whatever you want,i should find out by monday at latest..( doesnt look to hard to remove the actuators,either by cutting the piece out or drilling the spot welds?)

That's hilarious Rory. The Canadian Poncho world is small indeed. I will let you know if they will work for me after I see a couple of pictures of the actuators. My 70 GTO started leaking gas the other day, and it woke me up to the fact that I have to really start moving forward on it. I kind of thought the car was crying while I was plugging the leak, but that was probably just the gas talking.
Did you have Eythanol in it??? Friend of mine was moving some of his collection & found the eythanol had "eaten" the neoprene hoses right off the vehicles. This stuff is "CRAP" & causes more headaches for the old cars!! Mentioned before that one of my car club memebers had the fuel bowl eaten right through on his Holley carb. from this "wonderfull" product they call gasoline now days????

I had replaced some of the rubber hoses from near the gas tank and near the fuel pump because I couldn't keep gas in the carb fuel bowl. Had to put a few drops of gas in the carb to get it started. I thought fuel pump diaphram, which it still could be, but whoever "rebuilt" this motor left all the hoses and wiring in a mess. Transferred a 1970 LeMans engine harness complete with all the right connectors into it and replaced the battery wires, vaccuum lines, carb (thanks Ray White), starter etc. The gas line was not clipped back in to the frame, so it could have been damaged that way, but rubber does break down after time. Thanks for the info...no eythanol for my goat.
