B.J. Scotsdale 2012

MMMM... I wonder what a 65 Beaumont SD Cheetah would go for? HAHH HAHH! Just kidding I enjoy the eye candy on this show but I really hate the show itself. Hey Dave, here is a good one to explain cars on BJ. Getting a chance to have a super hot tall long legged, big boobed, highly optioned high maintenance lady is the same as a car on barrett jackson. You would love to take it for a ride but no body wants to pay the bill. Feel free to delete my post! Paul.

Unreal!,    way way too high in my opinion,  must be the most expencive canadian acadian or beaumont ever sold.

And not even restored to stock specs!

This is great news, because all of our cars just went up in value

Well, I gotta get this off my chest. I can't stand this show's ideals anymore. It has lost its hobbiest theme and gone COMPLETELY commercial. Thank God for my pvr system, in the first 45 minutes of the 4 hour program, we saw 3, count them, 3 cars go over the auction block and about 25 minutes of commercials. I've lost track of whos the greediest of the pair, is it speed channel for selling 75% of the auctions air time to commercialism or is it Jackson who has his oversized meathook of a hand in the pocket of every single aspect of the sale (he most likely gets a percentage of the advertising revenue as well, or come to think of it maybe all of it, if he buys the air time from speed and has control of that time, then he gets the proceeds from all the ads. Which makes sense, he is very money hungry) I could go on and on about the money that this guy makes, do you know that not only does he charge vendors to sell food (thats obvious) but he gets a cut on every morsel they sell, with every bite of the hotdog or popcorn you eat, he gets a bite himself! And can somebody tell me why his side kick, Mr Hollywood, never takes off the sunglasses, even in darker setting interviews, hes gotta have his coolrays on. It must be a problem with that 3 letter word that starts with the letter 'e'........no not eye......ego! Or is it because he has a bit of a concious and has a hard time looking anyone in the eyes, knowing what hes a part of? I'm sticking with my first theory. Well, I feel a bit better, I'm sure not all of you agree with my observations and opinions, but hey thats what makes the world go round. What say you, Cheers Dave.

Ah I see. Chuck Dali told me his drag cars were shipped right from the back door in Michigan to Toronto on a car carrier to his home, no middle man dealer, no need for plates so no need for a VIN.

That sound like Hainey at the Barrie flea Mkt. he takes a cut on the food venders, water sales, bank machine people etc. Heard theres going to be a Auto flea mkt. in Havelock Ont the end of May, promoter is getting the advt. ready to go out. All "non "auto will be in one corner of property. So Socks Jewlery & clothes won't inhibit the car folks. Many vendors have been "bugging" him to do this as they are "PI$$ED" off with Hainey & the way he runs Barrie & keeps uping the fees every year. Think the new place is where they have the counrty music Jamboree????

I was gonna see if I could watch it live on the computer but I think I've heard enough. Back to the garage after supper to work on my Acadian some more or else maybe ping pong with our son. Sounds like either of those options is more favourable!

         I actually agree with you..

I keep it running as background but its a lot of  hype

I really get nausous, when I see the Dudes with the Cigar stuck in the mouth, and drink in hand, signing the sold tickets..   I do like Ron Pratt and his "stuff"

Can't agree with you Carl on Ron Pratt! He buys up all the rare cars and stuffs them in the garage to never be seen again. Museums can not afford to bid against him guys like me and you will never see them again till he dies.

Well there is always lots of discussion when it comes to BJ.  I have seen Steve Davis interviewed regarding his eye condition and that is why he always has to wear the dark glasses.  Call me shallow but I really enjoy the show for what it is.  We never know how we would be running the show if we had something as successful as they have.  I know the 5 full days I spent there in 2010 was a highlight of my car events that I have attended.  I would love to go every second year and definetely will be going again once my work career slows down.  There are just so many interesting vehicles which you never see on tv and it has a neat atmosphere and I have to admit to enjoy being a people watcher.  I enjoyed talking to many of the consigners and there are so many interesting stories.  I treat it as a big car show and the $100 charge for the week to me was a bargain.  Good memories for sure, but each to their own, and I am not a high roller.

No. I was just shocked at how low two pilot build Hemi cars sold for. 65K each and they were both perfect. The 70 Superbee was used by Chrysler for photo shoots etc.

Can those cars be registered, do they have VINs ?  I talked to a MOPAR factory drag racer this past summer and he mentioned that once his sponsorship was ended they left him with a car with no VIN and it took him two years to sort it out.

They both had vins. One ended in 00003 and I think the other was 00009. Similar to the Camaro Carl had.
