Here is a great project and a really rare car. I bought this in Calgary in 2009 from the original owner. Still wear's it's original silver paint and stripe's, extremely nice interior, check the picture's out. As you can see I started on it but work eat's up lot's of my time so it has been sitting for a year and a half. Been documented through GM Canada, only 127 were brought into Canada. This has the biggest engine available that year 455 4bbl ( 78,000 miles ). Maybe 30 came with this engine. Option's are; 455 4bbl, climate control air, p.window's, rally II's, am 8 track, cruise, floor mat's, litter container, sport mirror's, rear defroster, cloth interior, lamp group, block heater, tilt wheel and tinted glass. Was bought new at McKay Pontiac Buick in Calgary, their still in business today. Will need to be trailered as the power steering pump is hooped. Has new tires and water pump. I drove it up from Calgary with no issue's other than the steering pump was weak.I will include a pair of used front fender's, rear bumper, bumper inserts, right rear door, lower molding's (nos), right rear quarter (nos) and grill's. I have other stuff as well that can be aquired. When was the last time you saw one of these? I have a 2dr and I get lot's of great feedback on it.

This is a member's car. A rare one for sure and very expensive when new. The only way this could be rarer is if it had a 4 speed, a few were built like that in '73 & 74 with 400's.
Looks like a really super nice base. A lot of the body parts are super hard to get as none are reproduced but most of them are there. Rear bumper is not chromed, it is body colour in 75 so that is easy to take care of.
Robert's car, yes he's a member here, great guy too ! This is an awesome deal with all the parts it comes with as well ... No 4 speed were made in 1975, this would have been a nice family car in its days ... Good Luck on your sale !
I never really thought about posting here as it's not a Canadian built car but thank's. For the money I'm looking for I think it's priced accordingly since it's pretty rare. I realize it's a 4dr and people will frown on that but with bucket's and the 455 it's quite unique. I won't be heart broken if it doesn't sell, restored it would look nice next to my '75 GA 2dr. I'm trying to cut back on my overtime so I can start enjoying the hobby again. I have several people that would buy my 2dr if I was to sell it but I've owned it since '89 and I just can't part with it. With the 455 and factory sunroof it would be hard to replace. On a side note I also have my '75 Olds Cutlass Supreme 4dr for sale with a 455. It's listed on KIJIJI as well. The 4dr 4speed GA that was for sale a short time ago was a '74 and it was also silver.
Don't worry about posting non Canadian built cars here Robert. Your Grand Am is Canadian in as much as it was imported for sale and sold here anyway.
I think we'd all love to see the Cutlass ad as well. There are a lot of car lovers on here and unlike most other sites we enjoy seeing these other makes for sale, especially a rare 4dr. 455 Oldsie.

You can link to the ad for the Cutlass through the Grand Am ad. It was originally a 350 car but at some point someone installed a 455. I drive it on the odd weekend or to work, very solid but has rust under the vinyl top. Has the super stock wheel's too. I really like the car and it drive's well, I get more e-mail's from people just wanting the motor. Doesn't surprise me any GM 455 is hard to come by these day's. Like the Grand Am if it doesn't sell I'm okay with it.
I have re-listed the car on KIJIJI Edmonton as a part's car. The front nose, rally II's and steering wheel are spoken. Any question's, send an e-mail to rsamonig@telus.net or leave a pm here.
The motor and transmission are for sale as well. If possible I would like to sell them as a pair. I'm not looking to win the lottery on parting this car out. I've come to the realization that it's gonna take more money to bring it up to my standards than I want to spend. I already have a really nice 2dr with the 455 which work's for me.
I have to be honest, I really have no idea what it's worth. I know it's fairly low miles at 76,000 and it drove nicely from Calgary to Wetaskiwin in '09. I realize it's a smog motor but 455 Pontiac's are quite uncommon. Best I can say, insult me with a number lol! The last motor and transmission I sold was a 400 , turbo 400 for $400 if that help's. It was a few year's back and the combo came out of a '75 Grand Am as well. Something to factor in, I can assist in the removal of the motor. Also, anybody driving a long distance is welcome to stay overnight.
Robert, NOOOOOOOO !!! Don't part this rare Grand Am out ??? Sell the olds 455 instead as it is not original to the car ? Oh well, it's your car, do what you want to do, it's just my opinion ...
When I bought the car the original plan was to part it out. Time seem's to be passing by quickly and I'm probably never going to get to this project. The one good thing about the Old's is that it's licensed and driveable.
It's ok, i'm parting out my 73 GA 455 as well, all panels are rusted out, nose and interior are so brittle/torned and it's real hard to find parts for these cars, but I wish someone could use the frame ...
Seems ashame to part out a rare car like that but hey, its rare because nobody bought them when new and obviously a hard car to move now. We all have limited space and patience and MONEY is good.
