I'm glad to see it getting put to use instead of sitting here doing nothing. Originally it was for my Acadian but I just couldn't resist that cute looking 69 Z28 intake!

Is that an original 300 horse car?

Had to be a 283 if it was a 2bbl, 327's were only 4bbl in a 65 Poncho, 250 or 300 HP according to manual in my hand.

I believe he told me someone had changed it. I think it's a 327 but I just can't recall if it was a 250 or 300. We'll soon find out...

Carl i thank you again, i do wish it was aluminium these things are hard on the back, i do have one ali manifold a medium riser from 65 but it already has a home, as far as the car it is a real deal 300 hp car, some one switched the intake to get better gas mileage. i will keep picking at it but house comes first

I figured you had said that. Bit rare I would think, a 4 dr ht 300 horse.

And the 396 iron intakes are worse yet!

I bet the Carter will not be much worse, if any, on fuel

when i saw that no one had touched the hoses since new the head numbers block date and manifolds fell into roughly the same production date only the intake didnt match and part of 300 was still on a valve cover i guessed that maybe i was lucky, everything matches the body,

i stay away from big blocks all the parts are hard on my back

Yeah, the cranks, heads, intake are brutal. Block? Just use a picker or a buddy, no hero stuff there. When I treat my back nice, it treats me nice, and when I don't, it don't!

I know of another 300 intake. I hope to see the guy in the next couple of months. It's not going anywhere so I'm in no hurry. I don't know what it is exactly but someone put it on a 68 327.

Yes, I am pretty sure he will, it's just sitting. The carb will be junk cause the car is outside, but it's all there. I'm sure the Carter will be seized. He's a bit of a drive from me but I'll sure check on it next time I go there.
