Uncork the side pipes and Vrrooom! Nice car with a nice interior & engine (even the red heater hoses look great)! Manual brakes/steering.

I think I've seen this car before. Wonder what the reserve is with a 13 thou. starting bid.

those 4 speed sticks look so tiny    I'd rip that sucker out of the floor on the first 1-2 shift

Nice car

Just ask Carl427 Because the car was built in Canada it is cheap to take it home again, I think?

The 4 speed shift might be a Hurst with an original top stick bolted on to it? They do sell them.

I usually buy American made cars in America, but I'm thinking that our TAX  GREEDY government would likely still nail you for GST & PST on re-importation to Canada.

I'm not taking anything away from this beauty but for the record a floor mounted four speed was still several yeras away in a Canadian Pontiac.  I believe 1962 was the first year and in '62 no big blocks were available either.

Good eye! That appears to be my friend's car. He's in Nebraska. I talked to him last week about some other stuff but he never mentioned listing this one.

I've posted pics of it in the past.

He's a great guy, if someone is interested at all in the car, call him he will tell it like it is about the car.

 exactly

you would have to re-pay GST (5%) on actual sell price at the border

+$30 to get the sale notarized and $5 for a temporary plate from the notary that does it

+ transport

+ $225 RIV

+ $98 provincial inspection

+ all repairs that both inspections require to license in Canada

+ 3 days wait at the US border

+ storage fees at the US border side since that most border crossings on the US side don't want to keep the car in their storage

+ the trip back at the border to pick it up

+ $125 provincial evaluation (to get an actual value to pay your PST in Quebec) ....... you pay the PST (9.5%) on the highest of both values (evaluation or actual price paid)

+ 9.5% PST

+ inspection of the car in Nebraska if you don't inspect it yourself

makes for an expensive car to import to Quebec

might be different in other provinces but not fun for Quebec, did it before and i now find local cars

I never went through all that hassle or even one third of that money when I bought my car in Maine and brought to PEI.

Boy, you Quebecers have it hardbiggrin (by the way, Montreal is my hometown).

I talked to Herb this afternoon. The car is sold.

I just looked at the auction. It's not Herb selling it. It must be a "flipper" selling it!

the 348 tri-power was available in 1960 in the Parisienne

it's in the dealer brochure as the Super Astro Flame 280 HP

I'M PRETTY SURE THE GM PAPERWORK FROM THE CAR ABOVE NOTED THE TRI-POWER OPTION AS AVALIBLE FOR 1960. THIS CAR WAS JUST A 4BBL.
