That "Special Edition" emblem looks kind of late 70's Charger-ish

You can't really kill a slant 6 so I bet it wouldn't be hard to get running.

Mopars used torsion bars right up until the 1980's. If the chassis is rust free than I wouldn't worry.

My uncle had a rod go straight through the hood on his slant 6 on the QEW near Grimsby back in the day, very similar car.  I always thought they were bullet proof but that changed my opinion. He should have kept his '59 Laurentian. biggrin

I seem to recall Moparfest using a slant 6 for the engine blow contest (no oil, full throttle). If I remember correctly it just ran and ran. Seems the tolerances were quite loose on those engines.

I used to work at ONTARIO AUTOMOBILE on Bay St. Toronto back in the 60's in Parts Dept. & the dealer ship[ Chyrco] had their "reman" shop in basement. it was not un-common for a Taxi co. to send their "engine cores" back to shop with "WAY" over a 'million" miles on them, for "re-build"!! & I swear they'd put another million on the rebuilt engine!!! 225 "leaning Tower of Power" The blue "170" cu in. didn't hold up as well, & were DOGS compared to the "225's"

My Dad had Slant Sixes in 2 of his cars, a '74 Dart and a '78 Aspen. Both these cars engines were super smooth, and would start no problem in the coldest of temps! They were too good of an engine = no Mopar parts selling.

I had a number of dodges and chryslers when i was younger(less money) and always had good luck with the slant 6  that looks like a good deal if its as solid as he says, throw some dodge rallys on it and away ya go!

If it's no rust that is a nice car. My dad had a 70 Dart with a 6 in it. I'd need help getting it running. My big problem with the cars i've missed is they're too far away for me to get to look at quickly. I really would only want to get this one if it could be made to run at minimal cost. And i don't mind Mopars at all. It looks close in colour to my grandpa's 69 Dodge 4dr he had.

SNOOZE ya LOOSE as the old saying goes. When it's that price, you jump in the car & go see if it's worth it or not!!!!  It's only time & gas. My neighbour with the 60 T-Bird "lost" so many cars Hummin & Hawin on wether to go & see it,by the time he called they were GONE!!! I had to convince him to call on the car he bought, the day he saw the add. He got the car,& seller said there were people giving names for call back if it didn't go. That was last spring, & things have "died" since then

Nice tow hitch.

The "Special Edition" badge could be off a '75/'76 Dart or Valiant Special Edition.
They were almost identical I think. Personally I like the strippers like this one better.
'71 Valiants have a nice front end and those pointy tail lights which are pretty neat.

One of the things I liked the most about my Dart was the flow through ventilation system.
Just these simple doors that opened and wafted fresh air by your feet.

HAd a few old chryco products, and managed to blow up 2 6cyls..... But they held together pretty good with me drivin 'em...LOL All the cars I've owned and I've found that I blew up more tranny's and rearends in chryslers, than I did in any F**d or GM product.

You could also hide "stuff" in those little air "cabinets".
