Todd i thought this was only a Torino. I never heard of this body offered a Falcon. I always understood the Falcon as a smaller compact type body and the Torino as a mid size like this one. Any insight into this matter would be appreciated. Thanks. George.

Yep.Once the Maverick was available, the sub compact Falcon was dropped and the Falcon name was tacked on the intermediate Torino line as a base -low line model.
Which explains this one for sale being a 2 dr post sedan.
There were 2 different Falcons for 1970. The first was a carryover 1969 Falcon line that was built to December 1969, then the 1970½ model which were really base trim level Fairlanes.
The 1970 small Falcons offered 170, 200 & 302 power; the mid-size 1970½ Falcons offered 250, 302, 351 (2V & 4V), plus 429 Thunderjet, Cobra, Cobra Jet & Super Cobra Jet. The Falcon name did not return for 1971.
The Maverick was introducted in April 1969 and was unchanged for 1970 except for the ignition lock, plus maybe a few more colours.
The car for sale looks pretty good except for the rust on the floor. Even though it is limited, those unibody Torinos & Fairlanes would rust in strange areas and generally got scrapped at that point, at least that is how it was when they were late model used cars.
A friend of mine drag races one with SCJ power (actually his car is a 1971 Torino 500).

In 1970 the 429 SCJ was the new engine. Replacing the 428 which was the old FE series. The 429 was the same series as the 460. I had a 70 Torino Cobra with the 429 SCJ Ram Air. The Falcon was lighter, a friend of mine's older brother raced one with Ford Canada sponsorship.
