Power windows???

In a nutshell, (of course, all my writings are!!!!), yes, power windows for my 66 GP.

I went wrecking yesterday since it happened to be 50 F where I went! No kidding, I bet in the last 20 years I have walked by this 65 Pontiac 2 dr ht no less than 50 times. Yesterday, nearly ready to leave the yard at 3:30 ( I was up at 5:00 AM to head out), I was beat. I took one more walk around in the area that has mostly 60's B bodies. I walked by the 65, peeked in, turned to walk away and as I did my jaw dropped because I saw the one remaining power window switch that hadn't been removed. This car has been sitting there for that long with power windows and nobody has ever pulled the regulators! An hour later, with a "permagrin" I was headed down the road with another 66 GP option along for the ride!

Strange thing is, this is a no-option car. No tinted glass, no rear speaker, no other power options, basic 389 automatic with an AM radio.

Good stuff Carl.

Like I said in another thread, I'm a metal scrapper ... (just kidding).

Now Now no need to get nasty.

I also know a guy with 2 complete 65 SS dashes in the attic,........ oh yeah that's me.wink

Manual conversion???? I wouldn't know anyone who would want to do that.... But in case I do come across some one, does he have the 65 SS 4 speed console, that's the biggest hang up.........

No console, no. I had been meaning to mention the dash but forgot until you ruffled my feathers!

I don't know of a console but I know one guy I will ask.

No rush, with the the newest addition showing up sometime in March, my garage time and budget will be limited for a while.
