I will step aside on it as it has been on the shelf many years. Nothing bad about that, I just already have one that has been shelved for a long time as well and I am looking for a "fresh" one or will do a kit on mine.

I have one of them on the shelf as well,  I think the one I have is coded for a 427 Auto,  I will have to check .

 

IT would need a kit as well.......

The Rochester coding system is pretty easy once you know it. Any carb that ends with an EVEN number is for auto trans. (there are few exceptions)

Having said that, when you have two carbs coded the same except for the last digit, EVEN vs ODD the only real difference is the throttle cable linkage set up.

More often than not the same carb will have a few applications so it is not uncommon that a carb would code out for a 396/427. I have even seen carbs coded for 350/402/454. Most Rochester Quadrajets are 750 cfm variable flow carbs and will work on most engines regardless of original part number.

The carb is for an automatic 396/325 horse It should have some numbers following the 7029200EE An example would be 1189 which equates to  118th day of 1969 I am interested in the carb if the last four numbers are 0909 to 1209 I will buy it !! can you let me know what the numbers are. also a note .. some carbs did not have the date code on them. Even better !! Let me know, I have been looking for a while to get one.
