defogging old plastic


my old gauge cluster plastic cover is compltey fogged up and i was wondering if anyone had anyway of fixing it?

Polish the crap out of it with any car polish or rubbing compound, start aggressive, and work to finer compounds.  Pretty hard to go wrong

There is a product called Nova polish, it is for plastic, Lexon etc

What about the stuff they have for restoring the plastic H/lamp lenses??????

 We've been using the "Nova" plastic polish here for at least 15 years, its fantastic. We use it on tail lamp and parklamp lenses, its great on cd's that skip, it makes dash lenses look better than new and blah blah. BUT if your dash lens is foggy, then it 'may' not work. That may be thru-out the whole lens and may be time for a better one. Cheers Dave

Is it Novus maybe? I had no luck searching Nova polish.

I replaced mine last year. The change makes a big difference for little money. I believe it was under $20. A big job to install, unless you already have the dash out.

I've got a nice replacement one for my car (mine his a small crack in one corner), but for this reason I will not replace it, unless I get into working on other things within my dash.
