Seat for sale. Waldhiem Sask. Anyone know of it?


I'm curious about this seat. Could be long ago sold. But it would be correct for my 67 Grande, and I now have a large tear on the drivers side. At some point the seat will need to be recovered. So if I'm going to the trouble of recovering my bench...why not just do an Astrobench? I beleive the correct material is available from SMS.

I realize that Sask is quite the distance to get a seat, and they're not easy to move at any rate. but I'd be willing to do what I have to to get it here, provided it's stil out there.

Any help from Sask members close to Waldhiem would be greatly appreciated on this!

Boy,if we could get it to Saskatoon, I have a seat just like it sitting there that I need to get here. I would be happy to haul it from Saskatoon to here for minimal gas money. That would help me get mine home and save you some shipping costs.

I was wrong when I originally figured Greyhound Saskatoon to Winnipeg for my seat. I figured 100 bucks but looks to be more like 200.

I can almost run there for that much.

I'll call today, I'm not reall too hopefull since it's an old ad. But one never knows. Thanks for the offer Carl. Supposing I managed to get it to Saskatoon, how would I even get somthing so large and cumbersome down to the GTA? What wold be the best way? I'd imagine it would have to be placed on a pallet of some kind. One issue covered...I do have a friend who owns a company with a forklift and a shipping door, so It could be sent there.

I can ask here. My cousin has a trucking company, head office 3 miles from here. I know they do Toronto. I will find out from him. I would be happy to prepare it for shipping, that would be no big deal. Easiest I think would be to unbolt the backs, lay them flat on the bench and strap it all together nice and firm. It would take less space and be less damage. Also, remove the side panels and backs, pack them up and strap them on to the bench for protection.

If you get the seat get the floor brackets for the strato bench as they are different from a regular bench seat.

Good point,  nice to have the mounts too. Hey, anybody ever seen one of these seats in an A body...wonder if they bolt in with no mods?
