I was wondering if I could get some help in trying to start the 68. I disconected all the lights, windshield washer, and Heater on the car nothing is pluged in cept for the grounds.I have hooked up the battery but I have no power not even a click when i turn the key and the horns don't workconfuse. The battery and fuses are good so im lost. Any ideas would be awsome to get it running.

When you say your fuses are good, are you checking with a test light and power on both sides? Also in crank mode is ther power at starter solenoid? If not is there at the switch - In and Out? I know that main engine harness connector at the firewall can be a problem. It Was for my 2+2.

When you go to "crank" have someone with test light check to see if your getting power at the main connection on starter & on the start side side of solonoid [small purple wire] If you got pwr. on big terminal, & nothing on the other, then check the "neutral start" switch [ if automatic] & make sure your in Park or neutral!!! You should have power on 1 side of switch when cranking & coming out the other side when in Park or neutral [purple wires again] Also check the the main connection where fuse box & connector come thru the fire wall. Failing that check the ign. switch to see if you've got Pwr. there!!1 I know I started at the starter, but you can trace the pwr. fron either end till you find out "why" it's DEAD!!!!! Any Idiot lights on the dash working?????

You don't have a red wire (about 10-12 gauge) from the positive post running over to the horn relay on the other side?

If a guy used the factory style terminals I believe the positive had a red wire that sometimes hides on a junction block on the rad support that tucks behind the battery. The red terminal wire joined to it then it,on other post on the junction block(red wire) it ran over to the horn relay. From the wiring harness plugged into the firewall had a red wire that also went the horn relay,I think that tied everything together.
