We have plenty of nice example of 4 doors on here that's for sure. I always wondered to my self if I was at this stage of my life in 1969 what I would have driven. I never expected to be driving a high end Cadillac if I thought about it in 1969 as a 12 year old but knowing my lot in life now I think I would have liked a 427 big block Pontiac, something like this.......
I love moredoors and wagons too. My car is a moredoor and was only ever made moredoors between 91-96. If I could find a rust free clean 4dr, would make an awesome sleeper. There is a 65 Biscayne 4dr with cragars in a light green that goes to cruise nights in London and its soooo clean. The car is spotless with a stout sbc.

I totally agree with you brother. I love cars not doors and i will judge a car on everything other than how many doors it has. Wagons of course are super hot these days and i see more performance wagons than stock ones, so it seems. I have had two doors and four doors and i have loved them all and put the same care and appreciation into them. I have always had a hard time understanding why some folks get so wraped up in their hatred of four doors. Sure they are generally worth less and cost just as much to restore but if a persons sole motivator is worth then i would recomend you get out of old cars and just buy and invest in gold and silver. I love super sleepers like factory four doors with the heavy equipment under the hood and even without. I spend more time at car shows and cruises looking at the stuff that is out of the ordinary not the same old same old that just bores me to sleep. I love my four door 57 Pontiac and my four door wagon 74 Chevy and i always will. Cheers. George.

Makes no sense some 4 door models are nicer than their twwo door counterparts. And if we really do buy them for nostagia it would be the more door our parents had. Just goes to shhow how people follow what others say then becomes the rule - I had a beauty 63 chev bel air 4 door rust free orig paint with Corvette wheels looked great gave it away at $3500 also 64 pont 4 door hardtop with 40000 miles needed paint at $1500 ! Crazy
I used to get all kinds of comments on my more door Acadian, for this very reason,"cool whens the last time you saw one of those, and it's solid". I can't wait to get my new(to me) moredoor out and start cruisin in it. I know i'll be the only one at cruise night again.

It just burns me and sadens me when i hear of solid survivor four doors having to give up their existence for pieces of **** two doors that are almost beyond recognition in the RUST state. People will generally follow in the flock head space when everyone is telling them to do so. My advise is that folks should think for themselves and think out of that proverbial box on occasion. I have always loved cars, not doors and will continue to do so. Yes there are four door versions of vehicles that are far superior to the two door variety, as follows. 1956 and 1957 Chevrolet Belair four door hardtop (sport sedan) and the 1957 and 1958 Cadillac stainless steel roof sweet heart just to name a few. I can see the day down the road when two doors are as common as a belly button and four doors are rare and hardly seen. Then and only then might we see a turn around in what should be as opposed to what is. I hope i live to see the day when four doors are so rare that they are worth more than the dime a dozen two door. Cheers. George.

Maybe it's my advancing age but (value aside) I'd prefer to have a nice original paint unrestored survivor 4 door over a restored 2 door. I appreciate an old car more if it has survived all these years untouched. There's a certain mystique that disappears once an old car gets restored. There's nothing like finding old maps and maintenance records in the glove box, an old coin or receipt under a seat or a scratch on a bumper with an interesting story behind it.

I recall driving my 67SD396 back in 94 and people saying "too bad its not a chevelle" that has changed. Model A town sedans are more dersirable than two doors or even coupes so it may come around.
I like old cars for what they are "old cars" that 4-door hardtop 64 poncho I had woulda made a sweet car Agree 57 chev bel air 4 door hardtop is the cool one in that crowd
