CAN ANYBODY ID THIS STEERING WHEEL

Like the title says, I'm baffled on this steering wheel, I can't find any information on it anywhere. I pulled it from a '55 in the junk yard but no one seems to have ever seen one.

Looks like the horn ring broke (a common problem with 50's cars) and someone just removed it and slapped a center cap on. The center cap is not from 55 Pontiac, it would have looked like this:

The wheel itself probably is OEM to the 55, I can't say for sure since my 56 has the standard wheel without the horn ring, so it does not have the 'indentation' that the deluxe wheel has to allow for the horn ring. Here is my wheel, for comparison:

Maybe one of the guys with a 55 with deluxe wheel can hazard a guess whether the shape of yours is same as theirs.

I have a couple of horn ring wheels, they are completely different. And this one is completely different from the standard and the deluxe wheels.

I am stumped,  the center cap is for sure a pontiac with the indian head,  the bird V is remenicent of the 55-57 pontiacs.

Could it be from an odd-ball american pontiac basemodel?  since it has no horn ring,  would lead me to belive it is a bare basemodel one

Again,  that is a stumper for sure
