If so, gentle tapping with a small hammer, flat tipped punch or screwdriver, just keep working that lock ring. If you are not in a hurry, I think I have some new lock rings, I could mail you one. I'd just have to check first to make sure it's the right one.
If the outlet pipe is not useable, you'll just have to buy a new unit. Cheap offshore ones available online pretty cheap. If you do buy new, buy for a 327/396 with the 3/8" line instead of the 283 unit that's 5/16".

the outlet pipe is in great shape but my fuel lines are 3/8 already am i going to have trouble joning the two? or just a hose clamp =)
