1952 rear Bumper???

I've got to build rear bumper brkts. to fit late model chassis. My problem is I don't know which way the bumper goes on, rightside up or upside down if you know what I mean. There is a "LARGE" rivit holding the bumper ends onto main part of bumper that goes thru the "face of bumper, under where bumper guard would go, & another rivit that goes thru the "top or bottom" edge of bumper Hate to build it,& have it upside down!!!! Will post a picture shortly
