I forgot to add 30.000 is just the cost of painting it and parts, forget about the labour to assemble the thing.

Accually,no they don't ALL look that when you start to fix them up,there are accually ones out there that are low mileage cars that are still mint, you forgot to add the 20,000 for a proper body restoration. If you have holes in your quarters like the ones I see, chances are the whole car is rotten,GUARRANTEED! I think you should double your figures and add 20,000k for the body and you might start to get warm.

Don't worry I paid 6800 to restore a numbers match 327 for my 65 Sd 4spd beaumont Cheetah. It dinoed at 330 hp with a cast iron intake and a carter. It was like banging my head against the wall. Paul.

No thanks,I know what a 500 dollar rebuild looks like, you get what you pay for!I had a friend of mine with a lot of carb knowledge do one for me,he does'nt know that after he left the shop,I pulled it off and put it in a box,I'm letting his legend live on when he tells people that he rebuilt the carb for my car,I love the guy but I couldnt tell him the carb looked like crap, although the car ran good with it!

That doesn't go with the car. Carl has spoken for the moss for his flower garden. Paul.

Heres the picture of the engine bay on the black 66,I know that it doesn't have the factory air cleaner on it but the previous owner had a correct econoflame decal on it which I kinda like, and it has a disc brake conversion on it which I really like also, have the stock brake stuff still.I ready the the bombs to drop now on what should and should'nt be,I'm taking cover!

OK, here's one that you're probably not expecting re your alternator: http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/t31654857/question-re-66-beaumont-327-alternator/

I've had it on the front and on the back side,I'll have to have a look in my book and check,I know I went through this before with a friend,I think it looks goofy with the alternator on the backside,if it means going by way of the horn, then by darn thats what I'll do!

Looking at your engine bay pic I see you have a fan shroud. I was wondering where you got it and if you have a part number? Is your rad a big block rad or small block rad? I have been having a problem finding a shroud to fit my 66 SD small block(327) rad. Any info appreciated.

I have the radiator with the spacer that came with the car,if you want a shroud, then the spacer must be removed and the radiator mounted directly to the rad support, then you can buy a spacer to put in front. I get lots of my parts from True Connections in Riverside California(ones that are interchangeable that is)and you don't have to wait 3-6 months to get them. They show up at your door in a week.
