Well, Carl Stevenson has done it again!

A while back I spotted a pair of 65 Caddy vent windows, via a seller on ebay.  But, before buying them, I checked with Carl because of his vast knowledge of these things, and he confirmed they were compatible.  Then it turns out that he thought he may know who the seller is as that he was not too far from him, so what does Carl do??? ..... he offers to go pick them up and ship them to me at a lower rate than the seller would charge.   WOW!  This is before I even paid for them too.

This was an incredible gesture of thoughtfulness and kindness, to be such an awesome person to go out of his way to do this for me and I cannot thank him enough.  I mailed him the payment immediately and I got the package on Friday - (I don't think the cheque even cleared yet)

By the way, the packing was great and so well done that even Canada post couldn't break it if they really tried..... biggrin

SO, to Carl, Thank you so very much for doing this for me, what a terrific guy!

Thanks, but the other side of the story is he overpaid me so badly for doing this I could not keep the extra with clear conscience and mailed a refund cheque!

As far as going to pick them up, our daughter needed driving hours on her learner's permit in order for her to be able to take her driving test, so she was thrilled to be able to drive to the city!

My dealings with 1965CS in the past told me right away that he is an upstanding CP member and this would all work out fine. And I was right!

I know this is an older post,

But I just wanted to add my $0.02 about Carl. On top of offering me the 67 327 which now sits between the fenders of my Parisienne and at a pretty good price he also delivered it to Winnipeg from his home. It turned out that during it's stay at the machine shop (Brazier's Race and Machine...if you are in MB and need machine work..look George up!) we learned that this 67 small journal 327 was in extremely good shape and only needed minimal machining..in fact it still runs standard bearings!!

So Carl, take a bow my friend..as you are definitely a well respected CP'er and I am proud to call you a friend!
