I am going to look at the side trim forsale for a 64 beaumont custom, if it is good what should I offer?.......he wouldn't give a price......he suppossingly has the trim for a 64 SD also.....of course condition is everything
Well I guess it is one of those where do you start and where do you end but if you need it and it is decent you may end up at a pretty high dollar. It is one of those situations where it isn't reproed and you don't see it come up for sale very often. Depending how many cars you are restoring I think there are times when you just have to bite it and pay the big dollar and get what you want and need. I am thinking you could easily be north of a grand for a full set.
Money is tight for people right now so there's less buyers. The 64 SD rocker chrome seems to pull less money. I would think 250 to 500 for the custom stuff and 500 to 700 on the SD stuff. Unless it's mint which it never is. Mint stuff can be pricey. I think if you posted it for sale on the web at those prices it would still be a tuff sell. The parts selling is slow. Paul.
FYI: I just had every piece of chrome rechromed for my 64 custom excluding the rocker chrome as I don't want it on my car! Cost 4000.00 that includes both bumpers, grill, everything chrome.
