RE: Rick’s final garage sale

I wasn't helping with the sale, I was actually buying.  And I found an item on the dollar table that was actually mine so I scooped it and added it to my pile.

I talked to Ken late in the day, he said pretty much everything sold, which is good as it'll keep things out of the landfill.   I know Rick's wife Barb didn't want to deal with all this stuff.  It was funny, at one point Barb and her son-in-law arrived with a trunk lid.   I'd gotten it for Rick a number of years ago, it was from a 68 Parisienne ragtop, as Rick needed one for his 67 convertible.  He ended up not using it, so there was 3 67/68 Parisienne convertible trunk lids sitting there.  Same trunk lid as for a 4 dr.

Nice that at least the stress of dealing with that stuff is gone for her. My wife worries about that with me.

I hope if my day is before her's that I have good friends who will do the same to help her out.

Just to add to what Clint said.
Barb, Rick's wife would like to thank all the people that came out and supported the garage sale. She was very Thankful to the three parties that purchased the cars and hopes they will have many years of fun.

It is good that this has been dealt with in this way. Hillars massive and unprecedently collection split the family apart after he died involving messy litigation and unecessary bills.

To that end I was at a swap meet this past weekend, all my junk is going so if you see some out of hand super deals on here act quick.
