convertible rear seat back area, what does it look like

I got my rear side panels in on the convertible, as well as the rear seat,  but i think the side panels screw to the seat back.

Anyone got a pic of how thier car is finished,  67 convertible beaumont.

A picture of behind these 2 areas shown in my photo

Thanks

Wish I could help but my 66 is locked up at my brothers. I would say though (if the 66 is the same as the 67), I don't remember having any issues installing or removing mine. They seemed pretty straight forward. (I know that they weren't connected to the removable seat back.)
Anything in the books (ie Body by Fisher)?...

I believe my '66 also has a vinyl covered panel that is above the metal shown on Lefty's '63.

Here's a link to a piece for a '64 which might show you what I'm refering to...

I only have one that was screwed at the top rear to the back of the seat. It used a large fender washer. I'm not sure if it was factory but the car was pretty untouched inside. I have also seen them screwed to the floor pans at the rear lower of that arm rest. That made more sense to me. Paul.

You should see a notch that will allow it to slide into a screw on the seat back
Usually with a fender washer.

Yes i thought the same thing,   there must be a fender washer or a large washer to clamp around that big slot at the top,  mine had nothing.

I will post a pic later tonight,  but i think you guys are right

Man Dave, I thought you'd be out driving it today, not working on it. What a perfect day!

On my 64 I just slid that part in between the seat and the back cardboard piece.

I was wondering about that too,  it takes a bit of fiddling to get it inbetween,  but it would give it a really good finished look

Now i just wonder what is correct?

Just had a look at mine and there is a screw with a washer into the back of the seat and in the slot  smile
