Show us Your GMC

With a few exceptions, I've always preferred GMC to Chevy trucks, aesthetically.

I had a '64 when I was a kid and and drove an '85 Jimmy for several years. I don't have pictures of either at the moment, but the Jimmy was a virtual twin to the one in this photo... except mine had rally wheels like tim's black truck.

This is my "White Elephant". '96 3500/ 6.5T diesel. I've owned it since 2003.

Here are the only GMCs I have right now.  Probably don't see either of these too often.

One is a 1976 GMC RV that was originally built as a Transmode as it is the short wheelbase version 23 footer and the other is (I think) an ex BC Forest Service pickup that must have been ordered for mountain work as  it is a short wheelbase 4x4 with 3.55 gears and a posi driven by a nice torquey 292 and special order 16 inch wheels for extra clearance. Note the spartan cab with only a heater for an option. The way trucks used to be.

Both need work as the RV has had an engine fire  a year or two ago and I have yet to fix all the damaged wiring and the shorty is just a bit tired at the moment.

Both will see the road again!

image.jpegimage.jpegBest truck I've ever owned, have had it for 24 years no winter driving. It has paid for itself many times over. The two door Yukon is a clean western project truck I found stored in a barn.

That is beautiful; the vehicles and the fact there is no snow in your yard.  Much to be envied!

Heres, my favourite GMC that I owned. 1975 GMC Sprint 454, all original drivetrain , original interior, only 18,000 original miles. It was an Arizona car with one repaint ( due to sun baking basically ) really neat car .

That's gorgeous! My brother still has his blue 1975 Sprint, but it only has the 350. I didn't know you could still get a 454 in 75.

Great car but prone to rust and the doors were so heavy and long they tended to sag pretty badly. I would guess those rally caps that don't have any ensignia are pretty hard to get as they would have only come on the Sprint.
