I actually bought the car. The guy had tons of calls on the car, But i was the first one to give him a deposit. He trailered it down from Cold Lake for me at a cost.

I bought this car and 2 days later a 70 Chevelle came up for sale that i wanted. I bought the 70 Yesterday.

I told the owner of the car that i was going to sell the car. His reply to me was Do not sell the car for what he sold it to me for, which was his full asking price plus $500.00 to bring it here. He told me that if i had not wired money into his account so fast he would not have sold the car for anywhere near that price.

He even tried to get me to sell in to someone in camrose at a profit and he would even drop the car of there. His new price was above 10,000. He said he will contact him, but who knows if he will.

I feel i got a good deal on the car and he told me that. So whatever i sell the car for there would be no hard feeling between myself and the seller. If i make some money great, it will go towards the 70 chevelle purchase.

I am sure everyone out there would do the same thing if they were in my position. To me the car is worth around $10,000 , My opinion is based on many many other cars for sale.

As soon as Barret comes on many overpriced peices of crap come on the market for 5 times what they are worth. In my opinion this is a car that is a good car to restore,at a fair price, remember this is a starting price. There are loads of Impalas for sale and how many of those were produced. Now, how many 67 SD Beaumonts were made. This is one of the reasons i think this car can demand a higher price than many of the common high production cars in the same condition. Again, my opinion, you do not have to agree with it..

Just want to set the record straight on the car right away. I am not hiding anything. I will attach a few pics of the car, It is a factory White car with Red interior buckets console car out of Saskatchewan originally. Fanatastic late 70 early 80`s interior with the carpet delete option.

That was a great purchase, looks better in those photos than the ones he sent me!! Good for you! and what the heck, you bought it and if it helps you towards another project you like, then sell it!! you'll still make someone happy looking for a 67! Btw, it wouldn't be a 1/451 car... the sports options are probably more like 1/200-ish...but we don't know the exact numbers (someone feel free to correct me on that one!).

That car sure looks solid!

Hey everybody is out to make a buck. No harm no foul and the market will set the new price. Too bad a Beaumont guy didn't get it the first time. Paul.

Just settle down and here the offers you get. I assume you have 7 K into this car so you hope to at least break even. It always doesn't happen but we all hope. Paul.

You may also want to consider investing a few bucks on a carpet, stock seat covers (NOS our sponsor can get you those) and door panels. If you do the installation yourself you may get a fair bit more than your investment for the car.

Here is my opinion on the $40,000 dollar cars, How many average people can afford a $40,000 dollar car. This sale is not directed at those people.

Many people want a car they can restore and that they can afford, put money into it as they can afford it. Just like myself, if i can get some extra money so i can finish the chevelle i bought faster that would be great.

I have no idea what cars you have so i cannot comment on what your cars are worth and if they are 100 times the condition of this one, that is not the reason i am asking for ideas of value..

I am looking for opinions that is all just to see what members on this site feel a car like this is worth. Thanks

So it is a very nice car, I would say you got a good deal at 25,000, But you said yours is worth 40,000. Is it really any different than what i am saying about this car. I pay 7000 and i ask 10,000, but again, that is a starting price you never start low in pricing as we all know everyone wants to get what they want as cheap as possible. It will not sell for 10,000 but i know i will not sell for less than i paid.Really yours is the only negative opinion so far. And the issue is not your cars or what they are worth. Thanks

I do not know what you mean. I have no idea where you get the idea your cars are worthless. All i said about your car is that it is a nice car and you got a good deal.

How about we just quit with all the back and forth comments and you just give me a figure on what you feel this car is worth. But also take into consideration the value you say is also what you would sell the car for if you owned it.

No hard feelings but this is going in a wrong direction. Thanks

There's a lot of dialogue that is now deleted from this thread ... my guess is that it was a lot of "anti-flipper" sentiment. I missed all the action because I wasn't on the computer.cry

  Documented 1967 Beaumont Sport Deluxe.
1 of  451 Sport Deluxe Beaumonts built in 1967.
Factory Buckets & Console car, Originally White with Red Interior. The interior was redone quite some time ago but not original pattern.
This car should be restored but you could drive as is.  It is complete but there is no carpet as it was removed to replace but never done.
Would be a very nice car restored back to its original colors.
Floor looks good except will need a small patch in the drivers floor pan. It had paint, quarters replaced and some other work done to body at on time but many years ago, showing signs of the filler where repaired. The paint is also fading due to age, but it is still a very rare car and a Great restoration project .
These cars are very rare and do not come up for sale very often. I just bought the car but another car came up that i wanted more so have to sell this one, No room for both.
I have The GM Paperwork showing it is an Sport Deluxe. The car was originally bought new in Saskatchewan.
It was a original small block automatic car.
The car is Alberta registered and has been in Alberta for 12 Years.
ASKING $8750.00 OBO , other car coming this weekend,
Call 403-280-0226 for more info. Thanks

Regardless of what may have been said, this car is still fairly priced for what it is and the present condition it is in. By the sounds of it, this car was intended to be a keeper until something else happened to come along that the owner wants more. Just my opinion. Someone is still going to get a rare car at a fair price.

The car is priced "right" from what I can see-anybody actually wanting the car wouldn't care what it sold for just what its worth to them !

forget all the negative "flipper" comments-jealousy comes in many forms---would you be a "flipper" if you sold it at a loss ? or sold it at a profit three years from now ?

Trust me,I'm not jealous,I just don't think it's worth 10K,I think it's priced in the "Zone"

Well, like most people in the hobby, unless you are just buying and selling, you don't make money restoring these cars... Whether the price is $8k or $10k once interior, body/paint is done... you probably won't break even... but whatever its a hobby!

If it's solid, it's priced well. The market seems to prefer cars in this condition, as the condition get better (or the car is fully restored) then the return on investment goes down (for the person who built it). People may spend $40-75k on a car, very few will ever sell in that range.

I think Andrew nailed it pretty well. If it's a solid car with only the "normal" rust repairs I think it's priced right. It's a hobby and the "investment" guys are gone. If you cant do most of the work yourself don't restore a car.

The car sold to the first person who looked at it. It sold for a little less than advertsed price New home is Edmonton Ab. The new owner is going to drive as is for the summer then do a  restoration over the winter. Very decent guy. Thanks for all the comments.
