1969 Beaumont 2.JPG1969 Beaumont FEB.,12,2012 2.JPGHi

I'm new to this site, been checking it out since i bought my 1969 Beaumont Deluxe. I bought it from the 2nd owner that had it for the last 28 years. When i went to look at it, was sitting (In Garage) for a number of years with out being driven. Car was dusty and dirty but i could see through that it was a gem. The trunk was full of christmas decorations and the car wouldn't start on its own. We had brought a booster pack, put it on and it fired right up. We finalized the deal and it was home in my Garage.

1969 Beaumont FEB.,12,2012 Rearend.JPG1969 Beaumont FEB.,12,2012.JPG1969 Beaumont FEB.,12,2012 Engine.JPGThe car has its original drive train 300HP 350 engine (L48) turbo 350 tranny and 256 12 bolt rearend, with 101,000 mile on it. I changed all the hoses, fluids and had it out for a drive last weekend, runs and drives great. Was hoping to go for drive this weekend, but its snowing.

Welcome. Good to see another Beaumont come out from under the dust. Would you live near the home of the Grizzlies? Grew up a little north of your area.

Thansk I have though about going 3,73s, but maybe that is to low of gear.

The motor has pretty good power, can spin off the line now even with the 2.56 gears, but only a peg leg.

I think your right about 3.55 gears, would be better off the line and could still be good on the highway.

Not that i'm going to race it but would be more fun to drivebiggrin

I'm a big block guy too, but this car is pretty original to swap in a big block and a four speed like my last car was(1973 Nova SS 396, 4 speed 4.10). The Beaumont is a way nicer car to drive.

I'm going to enjoy it the way it is for now, but maybe go for some lower gears.

As for1969 Beaumont interoir rear.JPG the interoir was redone 25 years ago, you know the velvet type of material. The bench seat was taken out and buckets from a camaro i believe were installed.  Also a  B & M floor shifter. The headliner needs replacing too.

Have some cracks in the dash,I see you can buy covers for the dash now. Has any body tryed one?

When is the Spring Thaw? Would like to take it out and show the car, it's not perfect, but it drives great and i insured and registered it a few weeks a go.

Also would like to see some of the other Pontiac cars, now that i'm a Member and enjoying the Canadian Poncho site. Seems like a great bunch of Guys and gals.

Spring Thaw is April 29th. I've been told it's at the NE corner of the mall once again. Come early......like 8-9 AM if you want to choose a good stall. Last year was really busy, with cars on display and people coming to look.

Always watch the weather tho.......it's Alberta-anything can happen.

Welcome Kevin, your Deluxe has all the same running gear as my Custom, those 2:56 rear gears sure give it long legs on the hiway. What are the original colours?
