Four "rust free" Florida Convertibles for sale

During the last 4 months I spent in Florida I purchased 4 excellent rust free Convertibles for re-sale in Michigan.

These are moderately priced in excellent condition and I will include delivery to Sarnia, ON and delivery to additional border crossings can be arranged.

1991 Camaro RS Convertible, (one owner) 1 of 3000 converted by ASC for Chevrolet.  This car has the injected 305 V-8 with auto trans.  Red with black int and black top.  This is a 21 year old car that was driven less than 7000 miles per year.  $7,995 obo

1995 Camaro base Convertible,(two owners)  silver with white top, gray interior.  50,000 actual miles, V-6 with auto trans.  $7,750 obo.

1996 Mustang Convertible, (two owners) emerald green with white top, gray interior.  60,000 actual miles, V-6 with auto trans.  $7,495 obo.

2002 Camaro Convertible, gray metallic (like SS), black top, gray interior.  109,000 actual miles, V-6 with auto trans.  $7,495 obo

The 95 and 96 cars were owned by snowbirds who drove the cars while in Florida and stored them in their Florida garages 8-9 months of the year while at home in the north.  I have photobook albums for 3 of the cars but the 95 Camaro has not yet arrived in Michigan.

These were hand picked with the thought that they might be driven by a younger person therefore I chose V-6 auto for insurance purposes and gas mileage.

Please email me for additional details on any of the cars and I will send a link to my photo albums.

Yes,  I was in Florida for 3-4 months and the only auction I attended was a Collector Auction in Bradington.

I searched by driving through various cities and towns looking at cars on small used car lots and cars sitting out with for sale signs.  I also followed the auto trader postings in southern Florida and Craigs list.

There are many many convertibles for sale in Florida but when you check their carfax history you will find they were originally sold in New Jersey or some other northern state and anywhere from 1 to 10 years later they ended up at an auto auction in Florida.  The 4 cars that I bought were originally delivered to Florida when new and spent all of their lives in the south and are rust free.  I also verified none were involved in accidents and then had reissued titles as rebuilt or salvage.  Finally mileage is recorded in Carfax anytime the vehicle changes hands, goes through an emission test or duplicate title.  The cars I chose had no mileage discrepancies.  Sometimes a mileage is reported that is lower than the prior reported mileage and it is noted as a discrepancy.

I wanted to bring cars back that I could stand beside it and say this is an original car, with low actual mileage, in very good condition, with everything working as it should and good convertible tops.  On top of that coming from the south, they all have cold A/C.

In short, I have done the work for you.  These things are items you would like to know when buying a used car.  The 1996 Mustang Convertible was just driven from Florida to my home in Michigan by my wife as she was following me driving my truck, pulling a U-Haul trailer with the 2002 Camaro on it.  We drove both of these cars regularly while in Florida.  The Mustang had 57,000 miles on it when I bought it and now has 60,000 miles.

I believe I can safely say each of the 4 cars are:

Good working convertibles

Low actual miles

Automatic trans

Rustfree

Cold A/C

Good to very good MPG

Very good original paint, except the 91 RS Camaro has some paint fading on the deck lid.

Hope this helps,   Norm

Yes, I've been so busy since returning from Florida I have not seen my local recycle yard yet.

This is another guy that might be able to help;

I am in Florida for months at a time and I do the same thing as Norm except I do not go to the used car lots any more. Believe me I have spent a lot of time looking for good quality cars mustangs camaros firebirds etc and low mile original cars are not that easy to find. A low mile car advertized in Florida is 100,000 miles on a ten year old car. In my opinion the cars Norm has for sale are on the money and he had done all the work for the future purchaser.

Thanks for the words of support.  I understand these cars are not of interest to everyone but I picked them because I would own and drive any one of them.  I easily could have bought some $15k to $30k older cars in very good condition but not everyone can afford such a car and would not spend that much money for a fun, good car for the family.

Here is another one of the Convertibles although this one has not yet arrived from Florida, it should be here next week.
