Greetings from Chile

Hi

I´m new on this site and I woul like to tell you I´m a proud new owner of an Acadian Beaumont GTA 1969. Bought last week.

Now I´m in the process of dissasemble it to clean it complete, and then restore it with a new 396 engine. Now it has a 250 engine.

I will post photos for every step in my job. I hope to finish it in the next 6 months.

Regards

Mauricio

Welcome from central alberta. Love to see some pictures of your 1969 Beaumont. Great cars, mine has original 350 motor, but would like to have a big block.

Welcome from Toronto, Mauricio. Is your Beaumont one of those GTA models?

I wouldn't be to quick to kick that 250 to the curb ... those inline 6s leave a lot of dollars in your pocket at the end of the week

Attached are the pictures when I bought it.

The engine is painted all black (??) with spray. This weekend I will take out the block to remove the paint from all the parts.

The interior is already removed (floor, windows, seats) and next week I will begin to remove wheels, brakes, gas tank to repair the rust.

My son wants to change the rims for SS style and I want to put disc brakes. Another thing to repair is the steering, I think this is not hydraulic or it is bad because the steering wheel is really forced to move.

Regards

Mauricio
