My buddy and I scrapped one years ago... I got the carpet and Leather seats out of it and installed them in my '60 Chev panel truck..... My dad bought a new one (4-door sedan) and I asked him what as he thinking.... It was fully loaded , the same Mags and Bright Yellow, with a black vinal roof????? Yeah, What was He thinking??????

I always thought that AMC had really good ideas and really bad ideas when it came to design ... no middle ground.

I worked at AMC in Brampton in the 70s...As ugly as they were, those were actually a decent car... That CB thing was a built in AM/FM/CB Radio combination.......I had one, wont say how I got it...pretty cool in the 70s

Well, you'd have the only one at a car show. It's cool in an ugly sort of way!! I was a kid in the '70's and I don't really remember these but I do recall the Hornet's. Back around '86 I remember a '75 Hornet "X" on a Honda lot for sale, really liked the car but I bought a '77 Grand Lemans 2dr instead.
Just like a song that just doesn't get old or boring no matter how many years go by,the matador reminds me of that when ever I see one.Pardon me,I feel like I'm going to puke now.
