Dusty Interior pics of 52 Fleetleader

Man, that is a very honest, original interior ... nice!

Love the spare tire. I wish I could showcase a 5th. hubcap on my spare (I can't).

Just drive it fast on a paved road with all the windows down, that will blow some of the dust out!

Thanks Darryl, I hope this thing will be able to go fast enough to blow some dust from out of it, lol this car came with some period set of chains for the tires too.

Beautiful car brother, i love it. Leave her just the way she is with only mechanical safety repairs. My dads first car was a 1952 Chevrolet and i have allways loved these GM cars of that era. Real sweet and good luck with her. Cheers. George.

Thanks guys, I bought the car thinking I was going to use it for my companies Demonstration Vehicle, changing it to 12volts and totally Retro the interior, keep it period stock on the outside add some wire wheels and maybe some air ride. She has some dents on the outside, some old body repair on the pass side rear door/quarter(this area needs to be redone) and minor on the front fender, its still solid metal underneath all areas. I'm thinking most of the dents can be rubbed out, the only rust on the car is the rockers (not too noticeable but is going through on one side a tiny bit) and the inner rockers need redoing. The floors are almost like brand new and still has factory paint on most of the floor with minor surface rust on the pass front floor and 3 pen tip size holes in the pass front floor that I did a simple and solid repair with some Duramix 40/40 ( or whatever the 3M number is now lol). Oh and one body mount in the middle on the pass side needs minor attention but its not a big deal at the moment either . BUT now that I've had the car for a few weeks, I'm going to leave it stock, figure out how to get the stains out of the seats (carefully) and just leave it as is. It was supposed to be a vehicle to show off what I can do to an old cars interior (any vehicle for that matter) to modernize it as I specialize in custom fiberglass, audio/ video systems and other one off interior creations for boats, motorhomes, trucks, trailers and so on. I almost wish this car had more than a small cigarette burn in the back seat but I do have respect for all vehicle styles and don't think I have the heart to take away the originality of this one.

Chris i am glad to hear it. As the old saying goes "It is original only once" after that you can never get back that originality. Your car is beautiful the way it is. For many years i regreted redoing my 1957 Pontiac. I love the way my 57 turned out but my car was a perfect example of a "SURVIVOR CAR" and i should have left her that way. Continued good luck with your 52. Cheers. George.
