68 SD Beaumont convertible never made it home.

The car is at Hansens,in Billings MT.I spoke with a lady on phone confirmed it being there. She is going to talk with owner and ask to email me pictures of car condition. It is reality! It doesn't sound good. The car was on the back of the trailer on the top,so if it got disconnected and down a hill backwards I can only image. It must have took most of the fall!

Ya I am sick about hearing the news-Hopefully the car is salvageable and Trucker has insurance on the car to get it all fixed up.Hard to believe that can happen.Bill must be sick to death as well. Not only is the car super super rare-but to have actually had the opportunity to buy and own one-only to have it never make the trip to its new home is devastating to say the least.

Might be an idea to contact the local police force to confirm their story... it wouldn't hurt to have some "official" confirmation of the accident rather than just word of mouth from the trucking company.

I agree. There are lots of big time scams out there.

I don't want to see a picture of Bills/Truckers car (damaged). ...BUT how hard would it be for the trucking company to send you a picture of the accident site and damage to the cargo??? ...Smells fishy!

I really hate to hear this bad news. Hopefully the car is repairable. The story sounds a little fishy. If it were me I would be requesting pictures fromhe trucking company.

Trucker said, "The car is at Hansens,in Billings MT".

Trucker said, "All I can tell everyone is that I have confirmed it being in Billings,Montana at Hansers towing".

Carl Stevenson said, "Ok, my contact said Hansens would be the only place it could be".

Is it at Hanser's Auto Wreckers/Towing in Billings http://www.hansers.com/

or

Hanson's Autobody/Towing in Billings http://www.yellowpagesgoesgreen.org/Billings-MT/Hanson+Auto+Body/115534

I'd be interested in purchasing this car wrecked as long as not burnt after you claim is over

BAD NEWS. Well I'm afraid I agree with everyone on this. I would be demanding the head office of this trucking company to be contacting me personnally, instead of some bum-fart, ****-happens attitude truck driver (nothing intended to other truck drivers), and passing on what ever info they have as well as photos. I would want a copy of the State Patrols accident report. I would want their insurance companys name and representative name and number, as well as their personal lawyers name and contact number, just to let them know you mean business. And I would say that thats what you've been advised to do by your own personal law firm, who have affiliations in the U.S. of A.!!!!!!! Don't take this lightly, they will bend you over backwards if you give them half the chance. GRRRR I'll represent you. Good Luck, d.

Billings MT is a pretty small town, about the size of Barrie ON. Something like this can't happen unnoticed or reported on in the local paper. I think you need a PI.

I'm going to call my friend there on his/my lunch break. If anyone finds any info please post it and maybe I can get him to confirm it.

My friend is a big part of the car scene in Billings and he has heard nothing. He knows the local wreckers, etc, all is quiet. He's going to poke around,.

Yes, when I called him a second time to ask if he could possibly get pictures he said it's Hanser's, not Hansen's. If you don't have anything by the end of tomorrow Trucker, please PM me. I am thinking if there is anything underhanded going on, I don't want to say too much on here but I have some options for you.

I'm going to Mantana on thursday if I don't get a response tomorrow.

trucker, if this thing is going sideways its bad enough something has happen to a car , you may not want to get too close to this

Why?I'm not afraid of anything,Ive been dead for years!!!!!!!!

I purchased Bills car a few weeks back, waited patiently for call to pick up in Sumas,Wa.Had a call yesterday from transport driver, not sure how it could happen being a truck driver myself.Lost trailer off tractor and transport trailer rolled down a cliff in Montana somewhere.I can't find any news anywhere on internet.I don't understand how something so spectacular would'nt make the news. The driver said the whole shipment of cars and trailer in his words"there is nothing left"I am totally blown away. How does this happen!disbeliefdisbeliefdisbeliefconfuseconfuseconfusenononoevileyeevileyeevileye

u need to report this to the law enforcement agency in the area this happened. if u can confirm that it actually was loaded on a trailor and hasnt been seen since, then i would make a theft complaint to the police in the area it started in. If it turns out it actually was damaged in an accident then the theft inestigation can be closed, but if it turns out its actually been stolen, the clock is ticking and the longer it goes untreorted the harder it is to find. the sooner the Vin number gats into the system as stolen the better,

all jurisdictions have some type of reporting to police requirements for accidents, coliisions ect.. a trailer full of cars off a cliff wood meet that requiremnt anyplace in the free world, so if they will have a name, report number and law enforcement agency info to give u to confirm this event

the insurance companies require the same reporting to law enforement to prevent off the cliff events from causing payouts on claims happening all the time

I agree-and in the U.S. a beaumont will stand out if stolen/parted etc... first confirm the accident really happened

What shipping company was it? It's hard to believe that a car hauler with 7 cars in it went off the side of a mountain and no one has any info, no police report, no newspaper story, no local tv news story. If it happened someone has pictures.
