What shipping company was it? It's hard to believe that a car hauler with 7 cars in it went off the side of a mountain and no one has any info, no police report, no newspaper story, no local tv news story. If it happened someone has pictures.

I agree. All I can tell everyone is that I have confirmed it being in Billings,Montana at Hansers towing.I'm trying to get pictures emailed by yard owner.I'm not going to make a comment on the company that was in charge of transport at this point.

Ok, my contact said Hansens would be the only place it could be. I sent him the link to this thread.

Perhaps you need to contact some of these people.  I'm sure they would be interested to know and confirm your story if they haven't heard of it yet.

http://www.kulr8.com/

http://www.ktvq.com/home/

Also, just because there is a crashed "Beaumont" convertible in the yard, doesn't mean it's your car (could be a wrecked Chevelle?)... I still think you need to get the police involved to protect you from possible fraud. Maybe a VIN check in in order...

I can't tell you what to do, but in my opinion it's time to be vigilant - the situation may turn out to be everything they say it is, but I wouldn't rest until I knew for sure.

I just read this and my stomach is in knots. I can't believe this happened. It's a bad nightmare come true. Very sorry this happened. My thoughts are with you. Now dealing with insurance companies, I wish you the best.

Hey Trucker. Sorry to learn about this mess. I spoke to a good friend who owns a towing company in Vernon.  Told him the story.  He said... "whatever that guy does...don't believe it till you see it with your own eyes!"

...He said there are ALOT of towing companies affiliated with biker gangs, and this sounds ALOT like a scam job.

I hope like hell you get your car back in one piece.  Stay positive brother. no

Yes, when I called him a second time to ask if he could possibly get pictures he said it's Hanser's, not Hansen's. If you don't have anything by the end of tomorrow Trucker, please PM me. I am thinking if there is anything underhanded going on, I don't want to say too much on here but I have some options for you.

"affiliated with organized crime" would be a better statement-just cause someone drives a bike doesn't make them a scammer

Woh woh,  now lets not jump the gun here , Trucker and Bill are probably going through hell right now worrying about Truckers beautiful car, not a great time or idea to start inquiring about buying it!! Just my 2 twocents:

it was intended to put a positive spin on its rebuildability if damaged-not to let it disappear to wrecking ! its one rare car wrecked or not, Bill e-mail me about this car prior to hiom posting it for sale-I responded and got no response-an accident like this just makes me more sad that I didn't persue it at the time

good luck Trucker hope it works out for you

Awe man, it sounds like the story must be true.  So sad to hear it.  no

I hope it's still repairable.

That is unbelievably bad news.cry

I sure hope that it is repairable, and that it was insured. If the insurance co. writes it off, the car will have a salvage title at best.

oh boy....... saw the pictures of the car and no doubt in my mind it is a total loss. I can't f@#$% believe it. I feel sick. I'll let Terry decide what pictures to share and not to share. I feel horrible for Terry. This absolutely sucks.....

Also looks like total driver error to me from the pictures of the recovery scene but I guess at this point what does it matter.
